Notes_Norton Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Actually, the ragtime pianist (I forget her name) was good. The rest of the show, IMO, meh. But my parents loved it, and we only had one TV. 1

Gswitz Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I'm listening to mixerman's book in which he is talking about sample replacement for drumz. When he mentions time intensive techniques, he says, 'but surely your time has some value. ' and I thought in response, 'nope, it sure does not. ' I have used cakewalk auto splitting in the past to make separate clips around every drum hit then shortened the clips like a manual gate. Then generated the data for Sample replacement and corrected it manually for each mike on the 🥁. 😃 In the end, I pleased the band most with a rough mix of what i had. As years go by, I do less and less work maybe because my time becomes more valuable if only to me.

Amberwolf Posted August 29 Posted August 29 My version of that I've used for as long as I can remember is "If it ain't broke, fix it till it is." On 8/26/2025 at 7:47 AM, Notes_Norton said: 1
