In another fred I mentioned that I ripped a bunch of CDs to this PC and then to a thumb drive to use in my car. I'm loving it. Almost 200 hours of songs I like with no interruptions, and they're wave files.! The drive is just over half full!
And I didn't even delve into the Classical section yet.
This is technology I love.

However, some of the data didn't transfer. The car radio display will show the song titles but not the artists. That's okay: I know who it is.

I've got a digital walkman with over 10,000 songs on it, and set to play in random order. I have a huge record/tape/CD collection and I spent some time making mp3s, originally on an iPod.  Storage was limited, or I would have done WAV when I started.

I play it in the car, and found most Classical rips had too much dynamic response to be enjoyed in the bumper car  (I gig where alcohol is served, so I call my minivan the bumper car).
