Arcadian
12 hours ago, Jim Stamper said: I really appreciate all the comments above. But I wonder is Bandlab aware of the mixed messaging that appears when you go to the Bandlab home page? 1. Cakewalk doesn't appear on the home page. Until you click on Products. 2. Then off to the side, under "Other Products" you see "Cakewalk by Bandlab". If you click on that, you see "Cakewalk Sonar" in a splash titled "New Products Coming Soon". 3. Then clicking on "See More" gives you options to Explore Cakewalk Next or Explore Cakewalk Sonar "Available soon on Windows" 4. Click on Explore Cakewalk to finally see the statement: Available Now Via Bandlab Membership In summary, when a potential user goes to the Bandlab home page, they need to click another 4 levels deep to see that Sonar is Available Now ... while along the way being told that it's coming soon. I hope this mixed messaging will be addressed, and in my opinion a Sonar announcement deserves a spot right up front on the Bandlab home page Thanks! I completely agree. @Noel Borthwick @Jonathan Sasor Perhaps you could pass this feedback along to the appropriate staff members... Edmund
Good grief. They made it a monthly/yearly subscription. Oh well, thanks for the memories. Over and out.

Thanks for your one and only post 😆 FYI, the final pricing structure has not been finalised yet. Message ends.
Misha
I wish they would come up with at least a compromise, for those of us who will not rent. For example: Rent Nu Sonar for a year - get a permanent unlock patch (no pull plug de-activation) for Cakewalk by Bandlab. I guess, it would be clear where this is heading after a full year cycle from the time of release. Patiently waiting....
Terry Kelley
Bandlab has been clear about the pricing and ownership isn’t going to happen unless they change their mind, not make up their mind.
Misha
"The team is working on implementing a perpetual license offer and considering offering the product to be activated forever should a user buy the yearly membership plan. As the product is still under early access, more details regarding the appropriate pricing and plugin bundles are being fleshed out. So we recommend you consider whether you wish to take up the annual subscription now or in the future when things are more concrete."
