Are you sure you weren't unknowingly on a prank show?

Or maybe she's come up with a new concept for an OnlyFans channel. I'm out of the loop; are UPS drivers a trendy kink now? Hey, I've heard about furries, so it seems anything's possible.

It's hard to imagine the mental gymnastics that a person who pretends to be furry must go through to convince themselves that they might have any credibility whatsoever.

Did I mention the brown truck guys systematically screw up... Literally every order I've placed on Amazon that made use of UPS in the last year arrived late or the package was lost

And this now includes an order I placed a few days ago, that was supposed to arrive yesterday, something I need for a trip at the end of a week, so waiting a few more days until they realize that they've lost it is not an option.

However, if I use the tracking number on their website:

In my experience, these guys take the palm as the biggest incompetents in the industry. Whenever I see them listed as the acrrier for something, I steer clear. Unfortunately, the carrier isn't always listed.

Brown is indeed an adequate color for their uniform and their truck... ???

UPS is hit-or-miss.

Once I thought that an expensive microphone had been lost in transit, but I found it in the bushes by my driveway gate where it had been lying in the rain for two days.

On another occasion, UPS pulled into my driveway, turned around and left. I literally chased it down the driveway, but he didn't stop.

When I'm awaiting a musical instrument I pee in the back yard to avoid going into the house for even a minute lest they sneak past me.

Hey Dave I heard  when all else fails you will go three rounds with these clowns and rough em up !

The only one I 've really had trouble with is the post office.  I can't remember what it is called but there is some thing where one carrier brings the package from it's origin and the post office makes the final delivery. I've seen UPS get something all the way across the country in two days and then the post office sat on it for TWO WEEKS

Hi Bit,

nice to see that the Coffee House is still serving Hot Coffee and there`s still a bunch of old farts crapping on about 1st world problems.

Covid killed my studio in 2020 and i stopped visiting here, sucked in by Farcebook et al and recently dumped the lot but checked in here on a whim and after reading a few posts  i realised how much i missed my daily breakfast forum.

cheers

USPS has always been extremely reliable here. With one exception.

Someone broke into the mailbox for our side of the street and damaged it last year.  I was expecting that it would be solved in a matter of a week or two, and I practically never get mail, only junk, so I did not bother contacting the post office to hold my mail. At first, anyway.

It took them 5 months to replace it....
Very convenient to stay up past my bedtime and to waste $25 on Uber every few weeks to go pick up junk mail just in case.

When my bills are late, I go down to the post office to mail them because it saves 1-2 days' transit time. Last time I did that, both drive-up boxes were gone. Two weeks later, they're still gone.

This is actually part of a plan put in place by the Postmaster General himself. He's been ordering not only the removal of thousands of mailboxes but also sorting machines. He thinks the post office should be a money maker, not a service, 'cause that's um, you know, socialism. We're not Canada, gosh durn it.

Actually the boxes were probably removed because they were broken into and mail stolen.
My local Post-office had them taken down last year so you had to walk into the building and deposit mail inside the drop-box.  The long time employee told me they will have new boxes installed sometime in the future.  It took over 8 months for this to happen.  Also the bank down the street from my work has a box but I was advised not to use it by our postman/postlady   :)

Hmm, I wonder if Chase would accept that explanation when my mortgage payment is late. After all, they're such an understanding customer-first corporation. I know those $89 late fees are for my own good, to help treat my chronic procrastination syndrome.

Delivery drivers in general don't seem to know what they're doing, or how to read a map, even in the days of computer and phone apps that will tell them where to go (?).
Last week, a food order from a local restaurant never made it to us. No amount of bellyaching filled our stomachs.
Tuesday, we received a Domino's pizza, some wings and a coke we didn't order.
It was good.

Where I work has the same numbered address as across the street. One business is entered by back street/side street. So constantly we have food delivery services dropping off to us. Sad and funny at the same time ?

The Door Dash and Grunhub delivery people don't believe us when we tell them wrong place. We started telling them for $5 we will tell you where the right place is. Then they get all upset at us. How about learning how to do your job so we don't have to!
