I love Amproom but it’s the WORST in terms of load time, CPU hit, etc. As far as I can see it's only the loading and changes in the GUI that are stressing the CPU, for the rest I see it's lighter than most other channel strips (checked in Reaper where you can see the CPU hit for each plugin alone). Generally I have the impression that the GUI loading of Softube plugins has worsened in the last couple of years! I'm quite sure that it's caused by a "modern" GUI library!
