forum user names

hi, like the look of the new forum, just one thing to add or maybe ive missed it, is username.

to log into the forum i used the bandlab app login and see tha it uses my name rather than my username. will this be implemented?

I logged in with my CW username and password

I guess that is what I did too. Did not pay much attention to the process.

You can set a display name in the account settings.

Use the menu in the upper right to get into Account Settings and change the display name

I had to log in with my email address but my username showed up without my having to do anything.

You can't change the displayed name directly if you used your existing BandLab account to log in.         However you can change the BandLab name and by default this change will be reflected in this forum. That is, change your real name for a desired nickname. If you wish to use you real name for the Bandlab, you need to untcik " Update my display name here when my BandLab username changes", then go back to you BandLab account and change your name back.

And it appears that one you sign in with your BandLab account, that's it. Your not able to sign in with your old Cakewalk forum username.

Ok, so it seems that somehow I've kept my user name through all changes.

Same here, I couldn't log in with my Cakewalk's username and had to use email adress instead but then my nick (username) just popped up without me doing anything. Same story on Bandlab account. Weird.

I used my email to log in.

I had to use my email account as well but then my user name was there. So all is good.

Hi. I can go into account settings, and I see my "display name" but it's  not accessible/clickable to edit. The email address right below is a clickable "change" link, but not the display name. Any ideas? Thanks.

There is a menu on the left side. If "Display Name" is there try clicking it. It the "change" and "Display Name" menu option are not available or do not work PM @Jesse Jost

Hi Scook. Yep, Display Name is there, but not accessible to change it. I'll PM Jesse as you suggest. Thanks.
