Pieces of the wreckage washing ashore

Recommended Posts

Back in the early days of the Gibson>Bandlab conversion there was some discussion of what would become of the other Cakewalk (the company) products.

I stumbled on this recently:

Apparently CA-2A T-Type Leveling Amplifier has turned up in a discounted bundle. Maybe we will see the rest on one of those free free promotional DVD's from the music mags eventually.

If we look closely at the versions of the software featured in that  bundle we will see much of the software in that deal are a few numbers back ..

ex Studio One Producer 2.0

The thing is ....I do remember those deals ...I think they go back to my SPlat days

FWIW . they gave me GAS back then at the time .. Yikes now I'm having GAS flashbacks from the ghost of deals past ..

As usual , I wanted that deal back then and didn't have the money ..like I still don't ....🤪

The TASCAM studio in a box featuring Sonar was still listed as an active product up until last week.  I notice TASCAM moved it to their discontinued products sometime this week.

A complete, preconfigured, Studio-in-a-Box, TASCAM's TRACK FACTORY PROJECT features an Intel NUC PC pre-loaded with Cakewalk SONAR Professional Recording Software, a TASCAM US-2x2 USB Audio Interface, TASCAM TH-02 headphones and a TASCAM TM-80 Condenser Microphone.
