If you have a version of SONAR X3  Studio/Producer or SONAR Professional/Platinum, you have a full version of Melodyne Essentials. If you ever registered it, the current installer should be available in your Celemony account. This should be the version you install not the trial version supplied by CbB.

When trying to use Melodyne which came with Cakewalk by Bandlab, I am asked to activate and provide a serial number.

Where can I find such a number or is this version of Melodyne only in demo mode?

Thank you for any help..much appreciated.

The version of Melodyne that comes with CbB is just a trial/demo. You'll need to purchase a license from Melodyne to use its full features.

"Essentials" is the cheapest one (which is what came with SONAR Platinum).

You'll need a minimum of "Editor" for polyphonic detection.
