I found this paragraph  buried deep in one of the bundle descriptions :

But nowhere else does it say that what you're actually buying is a subscription.

That's right. They should make it more obvious that this is a monthly fee. The normal way to indicate this would be to display the price like $12.99/mo

Thoughts on pricing: there are no plugins < $19.99.  No buying tuners to bump the price to $32.98.   The smallest possible purchase using the loyalty vulture* would be $39.98 (ie, $15 for 2).  Only a couple of the $19.99 products are interesting, such as UA Needlepoint, and VSM-3, which might previously have been $24.99 nominal. DSM V3 is not the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders" (I just thought I recognized the acronym).

*oops, WE'RE the loyalty vultures.  voucher.
