craigb Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 That WAS good! I wonder if it was the coach that picked that song for them? If so, excellent call!
craigb Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 I'm just sitting here pondering how similar Icon of Coil and Assemblage 23 sound! A few samples below, and not the best to compare with either! (I just don't have the time to dig through both - I'd rather just play them loudly! ? ) 2
craigb Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 (edited) Maybe Ken (who knows Icon of Coil) can tell us if either band knows/likes/is inspired by the other! @Zargg - Well? Do ya know? ? Edited August 22, 2021 by craigb
Kurre Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 I liked the first one, Assemblage 23 - Damaged. ?
Notes_Norton Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Pata Pata - Miriam Makeba I haven't heard this one in years. I heard part of this on the radio in an office, and so now I need to hear the rest. 2
Pragi Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Jeff Beck - The Revolution Will Be Televised (feat. Rosie Bones) (Live At The Hollywood Bowl) HD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgnLYYiEdcg 1
Notes_Norton Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 Dallas - Johnny Winter I love his guitar work on this one. 2
Notes_Norton Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 This is the most unusual take I've heard on this song. Yes, it's a corny song, but this is a very original take on it. I wouldn't buy the CD, but I found it interesting. The singer seems to be influenced by Amy Winehouse, the trumpet player is quite good, they seem to be playing different styles, but it sort-of works. 2
Pragi Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 (edited) Papa Roach - Swerve feat. FEVER 333 & Sueco Imho this is a good song but an example for a bad mastering. Edited September 8, 2021 by Pragi 1
jackson white Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 You Are My Sunshine (w/o the stylist and pretention du jour...) 2
Shane_B. Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 He once said he never met his father, but he knows he was named after him because it says so on his birth certificate ... "Father's Name: Unknown." 1
Notes_Norton Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 (edited) Self-Deleted. I was playing the association game here with a song I wouldn't necessarily listen to. Edited September 8, 2021 by Notes_Norton

Notes_Norton Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Fun-guy, like the plural of fungus? When they made me they threw out the mold.
craigb Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 I'm finding this pretty interesting! I'm curious to hear someone else's opinion like Wibble's.

I may like Bauhaus, The Sisters of Mercy, The Cure and so on, but I never liked Goth. Those bands were around before "Goth" was invented. But I'll give it listen nonetheless ...
