Notes_Norton Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 "Ain't That A Bitch" - Johnny 'Guitar' Watson Johnny left us too soon, but he left us a lot of fun tunes
Notes_Norton Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 (edited) Reconsider Baby - Elvis Presley Originally by Lowell Fulson, but I think this tops his version. A great blues performance with IMHO one of the greatest 12 bar blues (times 2) sax solos on record. And when I found out it was by Boot's Randolph, it totally changed my opinion of that man. Mesh Posted November 5, 2019 Author Posted November 5, 2019 Haven't heard "Reconsider Baby" before, but very good stuff from the King and his band (the Sax solo was excellent).
Notes_Norton Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 My older sister was a big Elvis fan. She bought this LP and as a very young sax player, I heard the sax solo and it was like lightning struck. I didn't know it was the blues, but I knew I wanted to play that kind of music. I later heard the original Lowell Fulson cut, and it was nice, but IMO the Elvis Presley cover was much better. Notes
InstrEd Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 @Mesh you find really interesting videos to watch/listen too 1
Mesh Posted November 5, 2019 Author Posted November 5, 2019 These guys are pretty good and looks like they've been around for awhile.
craigb Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 It's pretty well known that I'm not a fan of Country, but Glen's daughter might be able to change that! Everything I've heard from her and about her is all good.

Apparently, it was a sold out performance....all the fishes in the deep blue sea loved it. Been watching/listening to all his stuff this Am, and they all seem to be live performances....bookmarked his stuff.
craigb Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Love all the toys he gets to play with. Daddy wants! ? Does he have albums out or just videos?
