"The Cat" - Jimmy Smith

Great B3 playing, excellent guitar work by Kenny Burrell and awesome arrangements by Lalo Schifrin. One of my favorite Jimmy Smith albums.

Hey!  He's using a two string bass now!  Twice as good as only one string!  ?

(I do like the HU though.)

That´s the first time I have heard a rock song with Mongolian overtone singing and instruments.

Well done, this track.

Agreed!!

Really like their style and been listening to whatever YT has on them. The vocals (especially the lower parts) remind me of Rammstein.

I've got a CD of Tuvan Throat singing, and it's amazing when one guy can sing 3 notes at once.

"The Lady Is A Trump" - Buddy Greco live on vocals and piano - this is how it's done.

just saw them a week ago, boring they were :/

Thanks for the info.

Sad to hear that they have lost the live performance  power  .

Crosseyed Cat - Muddy Waters

Because every now and then a little Muddy is good for one's soul.

With Muddy, James Cotton, Pinetop Perkins, Johnny Winter and the rest of the gang, the blues doesn't get better than this. I'd love to have played sax on this session.

Occupational dilemma of one who makes his living playing music.

I never get to hear anyone live unless they are playing on the same bill as me. Why? Whenever someone comes to town, I'm gigging. (I'm not complaining though, I'd really rather play than listen).

well, everyone else i was with enjoyed it, but they're not so gig-going as i, so if you're a fan then you'd probably enjoy them ?‍♂️

Funny you should type that.  There really IS a Boring, Or!   Only about 20 miles away from my Mom's place across the river from me.

It's time to enter the wonderful and frightening world of The Fall. The only constant of the band in its 40 plus year history was the legendary Mark E Smith. He was a somewhat demanding man to work with. There is a wiki page dedicated to the former members of the band. There's over 40 of them.:D
