How to snap to scale while recording

I know I can snap to a scale, and in the piano roll it will automatically not allow you to place notes there. But I found that using my computer keyboard is a lot easier to compose with, but it doesn't snap. How do I make it snap?

I believe Scaler can do this

Scaler will bind keys to a selected key, yes, but not sure if CbB can. I seem to recall a Cal script that did this (for editing), but would sometimes move an incorrect note in the wrong direction.

I seem to remember choosing scale also was visible in the PRV to assist editing, but that is also after the fact. I do not recall it locking out non-key notes though.

Have a look at the transpose MFX. 

Like all MFX plug-ins, it is non-destructive but may be destructively applied to clips after recording.
