I was going to ask the connection (Kinks -> Smiths), but decided to look up the lyrics to try to figure it out:

"I am human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does"

Seems to be one connection ("But deep inside I'm only human").

Also, its a connection to the prior tune (Smith -> Smiths).  Double kudos!!
