Steve_Karl
Greetings, Is it really the case that the PRV track numbers have a 2 digit limitation? Am I the only one that sometimes uses more than 100 midi tracks in a project? Mousing over the numbers above 99 should at lease show a tool tip showing the full number? See Attached screen grab. Thank you! Steve Karl Edited March 29, 2023 by Steve_Karl
Bristol_Jonesey
Yep, confirmed Track View is ok but the prv isn't Edited March 30, 2023 by Bristol_Jonesey
Steve_Karl
Yes. Track view is not a problem.
sjoens
Must have happened when they "improved" SPlat's PRV Track view list format. Not an issue in Sonar X3 and before. The Add Track button dialog also has a limitation of 99.
Steve_Karl
Yea. Also not an issue in Sonar Platinum 2017.01 - the last version before the PRV change.
Lord Tim
Yep, confirmed here too. I wonder if this is just a field length UI thing rather than the number being misreported? Either way, I'll throw in a bug report for it 1
Steve_Karl
I don't think it's misreporting the numbers. It's just that the box is too small to hold 3 characters. A quick fix would be to force the characters to justify in a way to show the last 2 as opposed to the first 2. Then we'd see 00 for 100 and 01 for 101 etc. That way no need to resize the box.
Lord Tim
I think a bigger box is a good idea in general though. Doing huge orchestral scores, it's certainly not out of the question to have more than a hundred tracks.

sjoens
Me 2. It's quite the orchestration for me to get over 100 tracks. Then again, not sure I ever did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
OutrageProductions
That's interesting and it's funny that I never really noticed. I've commonly run scores of 150 instrument tracks or more and just grab them by the name without even looking at the track number... I agree that the box should be made capable of containing 3 digits.
