Clip auto selection after recording

Hello everybody,

maybe someone could give me a hint if there is an option in cakewalk to get the clip (midi/audio) automatically selected after recording.

For deleting you would just have to press "del" on the computer keyboard and can redo the recording with "R".

This is the only missing feature after changing from cubase.

Maybe someone's got an idea, thanks for respond!

Thanks for your reply.

Often I make use of the undo shortcut but unfortunately, I've got the german keyboard layout with swapped x and z keys.

This means uncomfortable finger stretching.

But maybe this leads to better piano skills. ?

To bind any exposed function including Edit|Undo in the Global Bindings area to a different key combination use Preferences > Customizations > Keyboard Shortcuts

And then hit W to rewind, then R to re-record.

Well you would have to hit Stop to, er, stop recording which should take you back to the point where you started recording. No need to hit W

So Spacebar > Ctrl + Z > R
