Max Power
Hello everybody, maybe someone could give me a hint if there is an option in cakewalk to get the clip (midi/audio) automatically selected after recording. For deleting you would just have to press "del" on the computer keyboard and can redo the recording with "R". This is the only missing feature after changing from cubase. Maybe someone's got an idea, thanks for respond!
Bristol_Jonesey
You can just hit ctrl + z to undo the last action - in your case this would delete the clip you just recorded
Max Power
Thanks for your reply. Often I make use of the undo shortcut but unfortunately, I've got the german keyboard layout with swapped x and z keys. This means uncomfortable finger stretching. But maybe this leads to better piano skills. ?

To bind any exposed function including Edit|Undo in the Global Bindings area to a different key combination use Preferences > Customizations > Keyboard Shortcuts

Well you would have to hit Stop to, er, stop recording which should take you back to the point where you started recording. No need to hit W So Spacebar > Ctrl + Z > R Edited March 5, 2023 by Bristol_Jonesey
