This song was written and performed by Thomas Wold a member of the country band I engineer for...  Hobo Train.
He wrote this for a close friend who has cancer.

Its just basically recorded (demo) and we are going to re do it in my studio.
I have only mastered the stereo track I was given.

I think it's beautiful.

Me, too.

Whole lotta potential here. You could stick with the simple ballad format or go full Disney epic with orchestration and choir, or anything in between.  It's already got a nice dynamic structure that would lend itself to a gradual buildup that goes big before dropping back into the intimate vocal + guitar that starts it.

I like the simple sound. Might back off of the reverb on the voice. (unless that is the original recording). Just distracts to me. Otherwise, very nice.

Gary , this is a Really Nice one. I love the pristine reverb and space around the guitar. I hope you can duplicate it when you track the song again.  Good luck I can't wait to hear where it goes ..  mark

Lovely song Gary - very heartfelt performance - something of a James Taylor vibe I thought.

Look forward to future mixes - as others have said there are lots of options here from stripped back to the full works.

Changed abit now.
Asked for the tracks...

I can't do an arrangement as the tempo keeps changing and doesn't match all the way through.
When we record at my place it will be different.
I think I will add to Bandlab and fork it so people can have a go.

Thoughts..
