Bapu
I wanted to replace my mid-grade drum overhead mics to these: But I got this instead: First off I, got mine brand new for $954 with tax and shipping on reverb.com. Why would I get one mic in place of two? Well on deep dive the Sphere can actually operate as a stereo mic when positioned directly between the front and back capsule. And, the software emulates the Coles, so I 'get' the Coles sound for less than a third of the price. And I get to sell my two Sennheiser condenser mics for a little mo9re cash back. Zargg
Nais. But as far as I can tell (I just read about it), you'd need to record with an UAD AI, using the Sphere 180 plugin to get stereo recording, or Am I way off? Congrats anyway mate! DeeringAmps
Hey Ed, I did not find the L22 useful for doing stereo recordings. Instead I replaced it with a n AEA R88. YMMV t

Bapu
Update: Since I respect Tom's opinion I picked up a used (mint condition) AEA R88 mk2 stereo ribbon mic on Reverb for $1638. Now I'll have choices galore. Edited November 1, 2022 by Bapu

I was not impressed (with the stereo results). Interesting piece of kit, but I don’t think you’ll get the results you are looking for. At least I didn’t/couldn’t. They have some tutorials online, I inquired about stereo , if I remember correctly, “we’re working on it “ was the reply. Maybe the software has evolved.
