Not me. (I wish, though.)

But this guy:

I was 5 when it came out and never heard of it until much later.

There was no lost love between punks and metalheads when I was 12 or 13. Eventually, thrash metal bands helped us realize that we actually had a lot in common with punks. At that point, a lot more than we had with “metal” bands like Mötley Crüe and all those guys.

Anthrax’s cover of God Save the Queen was the first ***** Pistols song I ever heard. Megadeth released their version of Anarchy in the UK the following year (and you instantly realized just how much it sucked the second you heard the original). Regardless, even though the detente process had already begun by then, both covers helped to further legitimize punk music and put the ***** Pistols on the map for us.

It remains one of my favorite records in any genre.

I see I am being censored again.

How about The Six Pestols, would that work?

Or The Sax Pistols, but not The Copulating Pistols.

I agree, that is a great album.  Thanks for the reminder.  It goes into today's play list.

I was just looking up "Friggin in the Riggin" a few days ago and there was a version with Muppets (scenes from Muppet Treasure Island as the video). I was rolling, but not sure how the person who posted it got away with it... had like 680K views!
