I just excessed a fully functional Frontier Tranzport, wireless DAW controller.

The drivers are old Vista era, but installing in a compatibility mode in Windows works.  I had it working in Windows 11.

Free for shipping costs (est $20).

PM me.

Two things are essential in my little studio.
My Tascam FW1884, and the Frontier Tranzport.
Good to know you got it working in Win 11.
Fingers crossed that when I move to 11 there's hope the 1884 will follow.

I don't think this will last long.

why am I not jumping on this just for a backup?
why am I asking vous...

Absolutely essential piece of equipment for me - just been using it today!

I purchased a couple of spare units as well a few years back, just in case it ever went wrong. They were very cheap at the time, no idea what they would go for now, as people get more desperate?

I set mine up in Windows 10 a few years back, and if I remember, you have to go through the unsigned driver routine  when installing - bit of a pain, but you only have to do it once

Arrived safe and sound!

The old office rig recognized it immediately, I think I heard it Purr "Where ya been old friend?"
One in the Studio, one for the Office; nothing could be better, than to see her in a sweater whoops!

PRICELESS!

where are my manners;  Thank You Jack!

trying to get Tranzport installed in Windows 11... no luck.

I have to Sonar plugin installed but Windows 11 won't let me choose Windows 7 as the compatibility mode.      It just asks

if I want Windows 11 to apply the recommended compatibility mode.   And that doesn't work.... thoughts?

the compatibility mode is for EXE (app) not DLL (plugin). if you have the 64-bit SONAR plugin - maybe run the installers in Windows 7 compatibilty and as admin

I love the Frontier Tranzport! I only wish it had one slider like the next higher version. It still works well for me in win10. Let us know if you get it running in Win 11.

I like multiple faders.   There is nothing wrong with the Tranzport, but I like my ICon QCon Pro G2  eight channel universal control surface.

I'm taking a stab at this on a new Win11 machine after finally retiring its 14 year old Win10 progenitor.

I ran the installer (TranzPort_Win_Setup_1.5.0.exe) in Win7 compatibility mode.

I also turned off the memory integrity setting.

There's still some things missing yet...which I'll try today.

Has anyone else gotten the Tranzport to work on Windows 11 or am I still alone here?
