I have a Jazz Fretless but now I'll have a fretted one but with active pups.

So it's a laminated top. Or just veneer? Either way it's really nice looking. The black hardware helps it stand out. Gives it that clean look to me.

I was looking at the Geddy Lee Jazz bass, but this one really is nice. The light neck and markings somewhat resemble that setup.

I'm not that great of a bass player so a light neck with markings really helps me to find my way in a pinch. I also like all the tuners on one side like a Fender. My Ltd rock bass has that weird setup with a few tuners here and a few tuners there. Makes it harder to tune up when I have it around my neck.

My question would be, does it have a nice PUNCH that is anything as nice as a precision Fender?

Ugh. Just noticed it's active. That might be a deal breaker for me. Beautiful bass though.
