Ok now after reboot. Here's one for you. Playback sound is perfect but transport stuttering

Ok now after reboot.

 

yep, the song is playing back fine, but the measure bar is not smooth in its movement - hobbling forward with a limp. Will load another song in the meantime and hope it is only the one song.

Yeah, it does sound like CPU Conservation Mode.

Try hitting the Pause/Break button on your keyboard. On a normal extended keyboard it's next to scroll lock; on a laptop it could be anywhere...

@Michael Fogarty, I'm not sure if the answer makes any difference toward resolving your issue but, when the issue started why were you rebooting your computer?  Knowing the answer may give everyone helping some more ideas.

There is an old feature for slow ui update related to the scroll key, i think. If you tap it, it will fix it. Basically this feature de-prioritizes the ui update.

Could be the pause key. Try that.

Thinking again scroll changes whether the screen follows the now-time.
