charles kasler
I want to mute a track at the start of a song. You can't do a snapshot for mute/solo so i pull the fader all the way down, take the snapshot, start the song & the fader jumps back up. What am I doing wrong? thanks! David Baay
Pure audio track, not MIDI, Synth or Instrument? Automation?
scook
Sounds like the volume is automated. That said, here are the controls documented to work in Mix Recall (emphasis added) Quote General track/bus controls: Gain Pan Manual mute Automated mute Solo Volume trim Input gain Input pan Send gain Send pan Send enable Note: When loading a Mix Scene, any track/bus Sends that are not saved in the Mix Scene will be automatically disabled. Send pre/post Automation read ProChannel Track/bus automation Track/bus effects and automation Synth settings for all synths that are referenced by tracks Hardware Ouput controls: Hardware output left gain Hardware output right gain Hardware output left mute Hardware output right mute Surround controls: Angle Send angle Focus Send focus LFE send Send LFE send Width Send width FR balance Send FR balance Speaker mute Send speaker mute MIDI controls: MIDI CC parameters Velocity Pitch Wheel RPNs Channel aftertouch Arpeggiator controls Check the Mix Recall Settings It is also possible to store multiple copies of the same project in the same folder. charles kasler
thanks! I will check those out. I haven't used mix recall yet unless it got in there by mistake. And yes pure audio, no automation that I know of.
scook
Opening automation lanes where no automation already exists automatically creates volume automation. This makes it easy to create unintended volume automation.

David Baay
Checked this out and found that once an automation envelope exists, it's not possible to alter the level with a snapshot at a position before the first node in the envelope; the new node takes on the value of that first node, regardless of what you set. This looks like a bug. But creating a snapshot of the level at time zero before any automation envelope exists worked as expected. 57Gregy
Why not just drag the left part of the track to the right (slip edit), to the place you want to begin hearing it?
sjoens
^ This "hides" the clip data but not remove it so it's still there for future use. or You can split the clip at that point creating 2 clips, select the left one and hit "K" to Mute it.
