Treblecock Studio
I have a young but very talented Punk band on my roster and this is their first track done here at the Studio. No Triggers on the drums and I ended up using 1st vocal take.
KSband
Recording and band sound good. I'm not a fan of the snare sound but that's just me.
Treblecock Studio
Haha yes that snare grabs a lot of discussion. The drummer wants that ball-peen hammer on steel sound. He is in another traditional band and has to use a different snare. I decided to just let him be to express himself. I like it. Thanks for the kudos on the recording!
bats brew
nice tight recording! the snare sound, is pretty typical of this genre, i see no issues with it at all. i think the band is too tight, to be referred to as a punk band, i'd classify this as pop rock with punk tude. heheh
John Vere
The snare the best part, the drummer knows his Punk sounds. This brings back memories of the 90's when I had the studio. ALL the bands sounded like this. You get a 10 out of 10 for capturing the essence of Punkizm.
Wookiee
As noted by the Bat the snare is right for the genre his observation about being a little to tight is also probably a good point, mix translates here on the Adam's
Bajan Blue
I really agree with Bat and Wookie - I used to play in a Punk band and believe me, this is way too tight?? But excellent as a Pop / Punk recording - great mix by the way Nigel
Treblecock Studio
Really appreciating and enjoying the comments. Thank you! Happy to announce that this track has caught the attention of the Sum 41 boys so they are leveling up. You can say you heard them here first. haha
DeeringAmps
Nothing wrong with the band being "tight". and yep, they are. I'd take it as a compliment.... t
