Disclaimer: I mostly mix "metal/hard rock". So...

Make everything louder than everything else.

Then go back and try it again, only louder.

Hanging with Nigel again?

Bass tracking method to get a killer bass- Track two different basses you like. One for high end and one for low end. Roll off the undesirable parts of each bass, put the combination through a send for unified fx treatment or treat each differently.

Vox tip- This is an oldie but a goodie. Track yourself singing the same things twice, pan slightly. Sounds better than chorus or copied doubling if you can get the words very close.

My Alembic Series I has separate outputs for the neck and bridge pickups,  it's sent to an Alembic 2 Channel preamp with separate outputs:

My Rick bass has the same approach and I sent that to this split bass chain:

All my mono basses are sent to this unit, it has two outs + a DI out.

I like how you have the numbers right in front of you to help you stay on beat! ?

I thought that it was his script for when he does a mic test.

I put on headphones and mix in the dark for an hour. If I then turn all of the lights back on and my stuff hasn't been stolen,  I know my neighborhood is safe.   ?
