Restoring a recorded track

Is there a way to restore part of an vocal audio track that was accidently recorded over ? 

I deleted the accidental recorded section and the previous audio waves are still there in the track but they're grayed out and don't play. 

Can this section be restored ?

Look in the audio folder where the project is stored in Windows

Grayed out clips are muted.

Right-click the clip(s) and unmute them

Try opening Take Lanes and see if your greyed out clip is there. If so, select it - Right Click - and unmute the clip.
