where is the Synth Rack Button?

Hi,

in my Sonar Platinum is missing the Synth Rack Button and in Midi and Audio Track is missing Volume, Pan and Velocity Buttons.

How is it possible ??? Thank you

When documented features appear to be missing, the first thing to check is the Workspace setting.

Either change workspaces, create a workspace or set it to None.

Make sure the control highlighted in green is set to all, too.

The track control drop down is often overridden by Workspace settings.

I never had Splat. Aren't Workspaces a new thing?

They were called Lenses back then.

IIRC, they were originally created for SONAR Home Studio (because it lacked screensets) then added to the rest of the SONAR line.

Although when the feature was introduced, it was set to None by default.

Having more than track controls missing in the UI points to the Lense/Workspace setting.

If it really is a question about SONAR, it is hard for a user to accidently change the Lense setting.

I don't have SONAR Platinum any more.  (I just had the demo version and never liked subscription models).  But I am curious to know if the Synth Rack Button back then was one of the "widgets" under the control of the Track Control Manager. I don't see it there in Cakewalk by Bandlab, but I do see the Synth Rack Button in the Control Bar's Custom Module--which is affected by Workspaces [that is, we can choose to have different buttons for our different, custom Workspaces]. 

Not critical to know; I was just wondering, in part because it is relevant to "Missing Feature" diagnosis.

The only difference in the Track Control Manager between Platinum and CbB is the addition of Interleave/Phase in CbB.

... and is a good idea to update to Cakewalk (CbB). Tons of improvements, and if you already has Platinum installed, all your purchases will be present in CbB.

May not apply here as the OP didn't say which view he was in,  but, I've had Sonar/CbB open with missing fader, pan and other graphics on occasion.

Close and reopen usually fixed it.
