Copy (or paste) notes only?

Someone fooled with one of my pieces. It is now loaded with weird controller events. Is there a way to copy just the notes or paste just the notes to clean it up?

Here is one way to remove all controller data

• Adding the MFX Event Filter setup like the image below to the MIDI FX rack of the track(s)
• Select the track(s)
• From the main menu select Process > Apply Effects > MIDI Effects...

Why not just edit out the unwanted controller events?

 

How did "someone" manage to "fool with one of your pieces" in the first place?

1. In PRV Menu - deselect Controllers > Select Controllers Along with Notes

2. With Smart Tool right-click & lasso all the notes then copy & paste them into a new track.

     -or-

     Right-click & lasso select all the controllers and delete them.

Only the Velocity controllers can't be deleted as they are tied to the notes.

Another option is to Select All (of a track or the entire project).  Then go to the Menu item: Edit | Select | By Filter > Select “None”.  Then select Notes, then OK.  Now when you Copy, only notes will be copied.

I just watched a video were the instructor opened the events list. They unchecked "notes" and all that is left is the Controllers and stuff. Delete.

Cool. Then Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+X or hold the delete key as it deletes them one-at-a-time.
