My Dog - a collab with Staypress

Hi there!

I'm no lyricist, but I wanted to do a song (it has been 5 years since I wrote a song with lyrics) so I reached out to Daryl who I collaborated with several years ago playing violin. He accepted and it has been a real blast. He also was a great guidance in the mixing process. Thanks!

Cute song, I liked the violin break. Don't know if you have heard Scott Henderson's Dog Party album, it was all dog themed rock/blues with some pretty funny lyrics (he's an epic guitar player too)

Whatever the next Disney movie is about dogs, this should be in it. Your chord changes with that awesome melody, just terrific old-school pop writing. The modulation was clever, and straight into an instrumental retelling of the hook - great idea there.

And the mix was very hi-fido.

Great collab, great vocals, great talents that should be more widely appreciated!

"Friendly ..., upbeat, wholesome and fun" indeed.  This is a wonderful melodic popish song.  Production and performance sound great!  As one who enjoyed the "love" of two dog and lost them both, I can certainly relate to the lyrics.  This was a listening treat!
