SCRUB TOOL PLAYING FOR 3 SECONDS

Hey guys!

How do I make Scrub Tool play longer than 3 seconds?

I scrub the track I want to hear, it just stops playing before it reaches the mouse arrow.

As I recall, this didn't happen in past versions, is there any hidden settings to fix this?

Confirmed here as well with CbB 2021.11 Build 18.

Tried with the latest Sonar Platinum and the Scrub Tool does not cut off after 3 seconds...

Maybe drop a note to Cakewalk support.

EDIT: Never noticed before but it only plays raw clips without plugins.

Just gave it a try here, and its working fine for me.  I tried it with several ASIO buffer sizes ( ranging from 64 to 1024 ), and it played fine.

BTW - It's meant to stop at the mouse cursor.   You're meant to drag the mouse cursor along so that the play head "chases" it.

@msmcleodI noticed that the Scrub Tool only works normally if I use any of Cakewalk's default project templates, if I create a new project template, when using the scrub tool it will just play for three seconds, stopping shortly thereafter from playing.

Do a test run, open the "Basic.cwt" project template, and drag any audio into the first track that appears, and use Scrub, you'll see it plays in its entirety if you want.

Now open the project template "Empty Project.cwt", and drag the same audio into the DAW or create a new track and load the same audio, and use Scrub, the audio will not play in its entirety, but it will stop after three seconds At least that's what I managed to detect.
