You can't purchase the upgrade if you don't own Scaler 1.

I'm going to find out about this sometime later today.

I went to PB, searched for Sacler.

Scaler 2 showed up.

I added it to my cart.

After adding my 10 bonus cash the price was $30, and selected Orb for my free gift.

When I selected the download the only version available was 2.5.

It is downloading now.

Like @Starise notes in this thread, the default download is Mac, so slow down on checkout.

If @paulo is right, and it is buggy on Cakewalk, I will chalk it up to GAS,

and D'oH,

GAS can be like playing 5 card monty, sometimes.

I know. I know. But there are a ton of small developers out there who no one gives two s###s about. Here in the deals page, no one thinks to ask whether it's 'right' when they pick up a freebie because someone got an email with a code/coupon number in it and shared the insider info.  Just pisses me off when people take the moral high ground on a slippery slope.

Some have the attitude of treating developers like a charity. Oddly enough there are developers who have the option to donate. Those developers probably want to quit their day job and do development full time.  They should feel fortunate they can get paid for their hobby.

Being totally honest, im not above taking advantage of a glitch.  It generates buzz and sometimes is intentional.  Audio Ollie recently had a glitch that people went crazy about, they honored it and gave people couple of days on purpose before they addressed it.  Almost 2000 people have seen this thread so the popcorn is making people look at scalar.  Pretty sure they will address any "free" upgrades to 2.5 soon enough.

On a different subject, I think the guitar chord charts in scalar 2.5 are awesome.  Its amazing all the new features they keep adding.

It never fails to amaze me how many people in this forum will rationalize stealing as if they are doing the company a favor. I'm no angel by any means but anything i ever stole in life, I never deluded myself into thinking it was anything other than that.

I'm pretty confident that people who are planning to literally steal software visit other kinds of forums. ?‍☠️

On the actual topic, Producer Tech has two Scaler courses on sale, €8.86 each. Not sure if they're any good.

Agree, this is not a warez forum.  We are talking about paying for a product that for some reason was discounted.  Musician’s friend sometimes gives crazy deals on boxed SW that they need to get rid of.  I wouldn’t consider that stealing either.
