Rafał Skoczewski Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Hi, I downloaded the latest version of BandLab Assistant. I clicked the green "Install" button under the Cakewalk logo. After downloading setup starts, lets me chose the language and after that tells me that "This installer requires Cakewalk by Bandlab". Installation aborts after clicking OK. Does anyone can help? I couldn't find the solution anywhere.
scook Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Are you installing for the first time or updating an existing install? If updating, what version is installed?
Rafał Skoczewski Posted September 22, 2021 Author Posted September 22, 2021 It's my first installation ever
Rafał Skoczewski Posted September 22, 2021 Author Posted September 22, 2021 It worked perfectly, I've spent the whole day to find some decent and actually working DAW. Thank you SO MUCH!
Jesse Jost Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 @Rafał Skoczewski and others having experiencing the issue with BandLab Assistant: it has been fixed, please try again. As @scook points out, you can alternatively use a light weight Cakewalk install utility.
John Vere Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 So why would we even suggest the Assistant when something better is now available? The Assistant has been the worst software I’ve been forced to use ever. I’m so glad that it is been replaced with a proper solution 2
Jesse Jost Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 The standalone installer utility isn't formally rolled out yet. It should go to production soon. 1
