Late to the party.

I do not own any IK products.

If I am waiting (and hoping) for a Black Friday sale of Total Studio 3 Max for ~75% off (~$250), is there any scenario where this group buy would make financial sense?

e.g., what could I get from the group buy that would not be in TS3M?

E.g., SampleTron 2 is not in TS3M

I haven't done all the calculations but if the GB is extended a month and gets close to the 20 range, 2 or 3 entries in the GB at the right price points and using all the right tricks already mentioned earlier in this thread (buying something that will let you qualify for crossgrades first, gear credits, the Groove3 coupon, jampoints), this GB  may be a better deal than TS3M at BF prices
