Error Message

I keep getting the following error message:

NVIDIA High Definition Audio

The above audio/MIDI device was disconnected from your system.  Would you like Cakewalk to reroute these outputs to an available device?

Click "No" to keep current settings.

I do not know how to resolve this issue.  I never use the NVIDIA High Definition Audio.  I use a FocusRite Scarlett 18i20audio interface and a Cakewalk UM-3G MIDI interface.

Can someone advise what settings are incorrect in my setup that would cause this error message to pop up quite frequently?

You shouldn’t be seeing that if you’re using ASIO mode. 
 

Another place I disable those options is in Windows Sound settings under the device tab.

Hello all,

I have this problem and its driving me mad.

I tried all possible settings, including chosing ASIO mode and the popup still jumps out every 30secs.

Does anyone know about possible solution?

Did you try scook suggestion above? You have to disable the audio device.

Do you mean all together to disable audio card?
How will the sound come through?

I did disable the audio card and not there is no audio card available to chose in Cakewalk?
What am I missing?
And the popup still comes up.

It should come through the other device--the one that hasn't been disabled.

The original problem related to an audio device that was not being used for Cakewalk's audio. The solution suggested was to turn off the device in Device Manager that wasn't being used.   

If you only have one audio device and you turn it off using device manager, you have a different problem than the one stated.

It looks like I am having 3 devices. 
But when I disable the main one Behringer UMC 404 HD - the other ones are gone too

I disabled the other two and it seems that worked.
