I'm about to restring my Floyd Rose ESP with a different gauge of strings ?

 

No doubt copious sweating, swearing and farting will now ensue.

I found I have a much easier time restringing a Floyd doing one string at a time.

I did it that way Byron, but I swapped the three bottom strings from 54/42/32 to 46/36/24. Such a difference in string tension meant relaxing the FR springs quite a bit.

I've even calculated (and accounted for) how many cents each string goes slightly sharp when screwing down the locking nut ✔️

By the time I've got the bloody thing to stay in tune it'll be time for another restring ?
