Yes I get this error still. I tried uninstalling it through "add remove programs", and then I ran the installer again "as administrator", but the same error message shows up as soon as I click "Log In"

It looks like it's related to COM permissions. Every time I try to log in I get a warning in the system log: "The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application..."

I've tried too fix it by following some general blog post about how to set up COM permissions, but I did not succeed. There must be an easier way to install this software, right? Is the assistant really  necessary?
