gamo sphere Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 HI, Is there a reason why launching cakewalk creates 3 "cakewalk start screen" proccess ? The all disappear when you close the window. Mario
Noel Borthwick Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 start screen uses the chrome embedded framework CEF. All apps built with that including chrome behave that way because they launch child processes.
gamo sphere Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 Any reason (s) why we still see multiple "bandlab assistant" process running (4) ? AND signing out/close the application doesn't stop the process? It's a day one thing, hopefully not doing funny things in the background. I never leave 'em running ....I manually "end" them Mario
scook Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 This is how chrome based apps work. Signing out does not shut down the program. To shut down BA use the Quit bottom on the same screen as the sign out button.
scook Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Merged OP with a second thread on a similar subject by the same user Both the start screen and BA are chrome based apps
gamo sphere Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 I see it. You have to use "quit" to see all the process disappear. mmm....."x" to close a window has been around for ages.....I guess that's what we call progress......(-: Thanks Mario
scook Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 The "X" in Windows decorations closes the UI but does not shut down BA. This is common for programs that run in the background like BA that have user interfaces. Check out the other programs in the notification area.
