0 msmcleod
This is how I do this: 1, Open up project 1 & 2 2. Go to Project 1, select all the tracks you want and save as a track template. 3. Go to Project 2, insert the track template 4. Go back to Project 1, select all the tracks you want, and Copy Special (with all options checked) 5. Go back to Project 2, make sure [1] the first track of the newly created track template is the active track, and [2] Now time is at start 6. Paste Special.
1 John Vere
Mix recall can be used if both projects are identical in structure. Like as in a bunch of live band recordings. I did this a long time ago and it worked. it involves copying the mix recall file from the first song folder by opening it in the browser and I think you just drag and drop into the second song. If the project is different then your best course of action is using track templates. Edited February 12, 2021 by John Vere 1

0 Jeremy Murray-Wakefield
The question isn't clear - what are you trying to do? Simply copy the stereo mix output into another project? Set fader levels in one project to be the same as those in another? Copy all automation from one project into another?

0 Jeremy Murray-Wakefield
Other than the mix, in what ways do the projects differ? (are they alternative edits of the same song?) 0 Jeremy Murray-Wakefield
Did John's Mix Recall trick not work for you? - if the tracks are as you describe, it sounds like the best approach.

0 John Vere
OK I think you just want to copy the midi data and the audio tracks from one project to the next? correct? If so just open both projects and copy paste the tracks from one to the other. If the tracks have effects and fancy routing- first save those as track templates and insert in the new project first. Then copy the data to those tracks. With audio you can also drag and drop it from the browser. Just browse to the audio folder of the original project.
