Keith Wilby
Hi all, does anyone know what "p52" means in a MIDI file on the workflow please? The MIDI file was created years ago on an ancient Yamaha machine with a floppy disk drive if that's relevant at all. Thanks.

Thanks. It might be. In 20 years I've never seen this, so I'd also be interested in what the Event List has to say.

mdiemer
If it is a patch, it's Synth Strings 2, in the General Midi Set.
scook
Using TTS-1 and the Event List as guides - Syn Strings 2 shows up as p51 Choral Aahs is p52
mdiemer
I wondered if there were different numbering schemes. The list I looked at has it as 52. It is an old list, so maybe it has it right, as Mr. Wilby implied it comes from the era of floppy disks. scook
Probably the same scheme just starting at 0 instead of
