PavlovsCat Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 I have a bunch of Waves plugins from three years or more ago that I've never installed. I use Windows 10. Do experienced Waves users think it makes sense for me to get them upgraded or are they still likely to work well (I'm still waiting on my next DAW PC to be finished being built so I can't test the plugins out now)?
telecode 101 Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 i'll bite. what is the most valuable and useful Waves plugin at $29.

They should work fine. Rocky 1

Most of my Waves plugins are v9 and v10, about the same "vintage" as yours. They should work fine. Take comfort in the fact that Waves never really updates their plugins anyway too, so they should be just as good as "new" ones. Edited January 14, 2021 by mibby 1

Abbey Road Plates is up there in my book. (Really any AR plugin at $29 is a no-brainer) Shepps Omni Channel is also up there. Any of the SSL console strips. Codex and Elements are really good synths. 2
Fleer Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 I still like the name bundles, like Maserati. 1
PavlovsCat Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Thanks for the advice @mibby and @bluzdog. It's appreciated.
Bruno de Souza Lino Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 I'm currently emailing support because Waves seems to think Chrome is the only browser that exists and I can't login into their website.
Doug Rintoul Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Didn't get the email about the $10 voucher. Last email I got was about the 50% off bundle.

telecode 101 Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 whats. still deciding if I want to get WUPed. NOTE: I see you can get this free if you have the required plugins. https://www.waves.com/plugins/multimod-rack#image 1
Bruno de Souza Lino Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 If Waves sends me one more email about CLA Epic, I swear... 3
TheSteven Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Too bad you can't stack Wave's coupons. The bundle coupon + the $10 coupon would be tempt me, but either alone is a ponder... 3
