KSband
Using the fishman midi guitar to play the piano and vibes on this one. Trying for the Jobim sound of the 60's.
David Sprouse
This is fascinating, so everything is played via a six string guitar? The piano-sound is slightly too stiff for jobim, but that might be latency. I've always wondered whether midi was something to experiment with. You like? KSband
Being a guitar player it's a game changer for me. I can play chord progressions that would be way to much work for me to figure out on the keyboard and even be able to play on the keyboard. And of course all the cool sounds that come with access to synths, pianos and organs. The tech is not perfect, I usually get some glitchy notes that are easy to fix with midi editing, I wouldn't want to use it live (a lot o people to though). The midi pickup set up is crucial, if everything isn't perfect it won't work right, there's also a bunch of software adjustments that make a big difference in how it works. KSband
This song I posted earlier is a better example of what the midi guitar can do.

Cool groove on this one!? t the landscape looks a bit more Utah-New Mexico to me ?
Johnbee58
Agree that the lead is a tad stiff, but not real far off. Lovely tune and arrangement. ? John B
KSband
Thanks guys! Yes I know the picture has nothing to do with the song, kind of lame on my part. I tried the Jam Origin and couldn't get it to work at all, although there are a lot of people that swear by it.
musekamp
Nice groove and smooth feel. The vibes in the outro sound very relaxed and suit the piece. I understand what the other posts are saying about the piano. But it's quite a good tune. I wouldn't mind hearing it re-worked on maybe a flute and/or rhodes-type of piano sound. KSband
Thanks! I think it would sound a lot better if I could actually play piano LOL.
