Hidden Symmetry
Hi David, I'm listening on laptop & can't hear any crackle. Lovely piece btw, nice way to start my day off.
PhonoBrainer
The only time I didn't hear a crackle was at 1:10! Of course, I was eating potato chips while I listened. To be serious- no crackle, cool violin, and I love the Sprouse sense of composition and meter, irregular yet completely accessible, beyond the rules. Well done! Cheers, -Tom
David Sprouse
Thank you U2. I was trying to parody the music that pbs plays between stories and it ended up sounding ok, so I guess it's an unfunny parody.
mark skinner
David , that was great! I considered it pretty close to experimental. I put a kick drum in my head and couldn't keep up with the timing. I loved the relaxing tones and presentation , you are a Very talented composer and producer. Another all around fantastic job .. mark

Douglas Kirby
I enjoyed this David - nicely done. The orchestra sounded quite good to my ears. I didn't hear the crackling you referred to.
Kevin Walsh
Nice, I love the in-between bits on NPR as well. Looks like you messed up and made a really nice bit of music here. Mix and sound stage are both quite lovely.

Lynn Wilson
Outstanding! Excellent panning and a surprise ending. Eerily haunting which is perfect for this time of year and history. At this end, it's clear as a harp/bell.
Jesse Screed
David, what can I say, very nice. I am sorry to hear about your anhedonia. It seems like you are coping though, you're still creating music. I am praying for you to stay on an even keel so I can hear more in the future.

It's true jesse, I haven't experienced pleasure for more than 20 years. My greatest regret is not having a sense of humor. I can't find anything funny. I can't find anything . well, the only thing I can tell you and you can choose to believe it or not you are a surrogate each of us is something most of us are in the box it is crowded in the box there is no deviation in the box the box is a safe place but everyone in the box wonders what it is like outside of the box "and the pale hordes flock to harlem for a dose of thunderbolt juice, knowing they can take the train home." In most of the monoculture, Carduus nutans is considered a noxious weed, but for those who see, it brings clearness to the heart so feeling joy is a construct. it is in the not feeling that we are purified of course "a fool be I." but you are a surrogate, and a good one at that. 1
