Softube plugins crashing Cakewalk

Is there an answer to this puzzle? I never had a problem with Softube plugins until recently, say in the past 6 - 12 months, so it might be a problem caused by a Windows 10 update, I don't know. But as soon as I insert a Softube plugin a project, a C000000005 error comes up and the program closes. This is preventing me using my dozen Softube plugins.

I do nothing special. It is the default behavior when adding links to posts (at least when using Windows to view the forum)

For regular VST2/3 plug-ins try removing all the .txt files in %appdata%\Softube

Version 2.4.96.0 of the Softube VST2/PC modules crash CbB when loaded as a PC modules. AFAIK, Softube has not been helpful at all with this problem.

To use the Softube PC modules requires installing an older version of the VST2 modules. For a couple of different ways to deal with this see

Thanks. It didn't occur to me that an inserted link would present that way.
