Douglas Kirby Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 I liked it - sounded like a bit of surf rock to me - very enjoyable. No crits on the mix - sounded good to me.
David Sprouse Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Makke, Haven't seen you in awhile. I love your style. Easy to listen to, thanks for posting.

PhonoBrainer Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 This horse is definitely on a surfboard. Hang Two. Maybe just a couple more fills in the drum track, some more variety in the bassline, but this is all about the guitar up front, which is played very well. Liked the chicken pick, too!!! Lovely whammy bends . . . cheers, -Tom

Lynn Wilson Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Makke, you have taken the place of the late, great Dick Dale. By now, you have quite an impressive repertoire of guitar instrumentals that you've created over the years. Keep it up!

Woe For The City Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Sounds a little like the Beach Boys. Nice!
Wookiee Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Good to hear from you @Makke nice surf sounds, I agree with Tom some variation in the bass and drums would have added a little more sparkle to it but it is good as it.
RobertWS Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 I liked that! The whammy bar was used really tastefully.
freddy j Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Oh dear, I couldn't get to play. I also tried on the YouTube and couldn't get it to play. I love surf music ----- so, I will be sure to try again later.
freddy j Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 I did a cold start on my computer and now it works. I'm glad that I did because I love this song. To me it very much sounds like the Shadows (Cliff Richards' back-up group and a legitimate group on their own). The style of the lead playing sounds like Hank Marvin. Excellent work!!
bjornpdx Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 makke Sounds like a galloping horse to me. Cool to play those old traditional songs with plugged in instruments. Nice arrangement and very well played.
