Actor-singer Kenny Rogers, the smooth, Grammy-winning balladeer who spanned jazz, folk, country and pop with such hits as “Lucille,” “Lady” and “Islands in the Stream” and embraced his persona as “The Gambler” on record and on TV died Friday night. He was 81.

yea this guy was amazing. Made some great records/songs. I'm not a Kenny Rogers fan personally, but i can surely respect someone with great talent.

Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In came on the radio in the mid 60's and was a big hit. I've been a fan ever since and covered many of his tunes.
