Thanks Ed. As a bass player, do you have any feelings, good or bad, about EZ Bass? Something that has plug and play bass lines for various styles of music?
I know for me, when EZ Keys came out, I didn't take offense, in fact it helped me learn some new chords and styles of playing keys.
And I have a feeling that once the novelty wears off, I'm going to just go back to writing my own bass lines for my songs (which is one of the things I like doing most in the song writing process).I think EZBass will become something special down the road. I plan to use it for inspiration, less likely for final tracks (until I'm physically unable to play). What I heard in your test is a great example of a demo bass line that can either be a) be tweaked or b) a jumping off point for a real player.
I'm thrilled with EZKeys for somewhat the same reason(s). EZKeys was used to start the latest BZJ song (of course Daryl did a great job of adding a live player feel to his parts).-

My life is a mirage to me
So much heartache, so many tears
Nothing was how I wanted it to bePre Chorus:
Nothing is further from the truth
Than everything I left behind meChorus:
With 2020 Hindsight I see what I should've done
Just a little more work and it would've been more fun
The days ahead forever seemed dark as midnight
That's what I've learned from my 2020 hindsight2nd Verse:

And change the mistakes I've made

Vocals in the verses reminded me of Don Henley.
Nice song.
Just had a listen to the POD2 version. Yup, profiling has come a long way.

Losing Hope

Hi Harry, nice toon. Guitar tones are schweet. Vocals are nice. The double speed feel change is an excellent choice. I kept waiting for some doubled harmony vocals and they came in a little too late for me. A personal taste thing I'm sure.

A+ on the bass tone. Nice start of a piece, can't wait to hear the completed piece.

Very mellow vibe but fits the subject matter. The mix crits have been covered so I'll just say ditto except the solo jumped out at me maybe a fade in automation where the first few notes are about 2db lower and build up. ?
-
Hey Lynn I really liked this. My only crit is the piano in the intro felt a bit over powering. Personal taste and all that rot. ?

It all worked Barry.

A DAW by any other name is.....
just a DAW.
Back on topic. The recording was nice. The song was nice. The performances were nice. Drums were a tad dry for my taste but I'm sure the general public audience will not notice/care. ?

David, I think I remember this one. Nothing wrong with a hijacking ones own material. ?

Can't find anything to really crit on this song Doug. Good old blues type vibe and the guitar tones are spot on for this kind of track.

Love the lyric Rex. I really dig that little synth(?) figure in the section after the chorus.
-
Intro gave me a Bad Company vibe. Ain't nothing wrong with that. As the song progressed I was simply digging it. It's got all that classic rock stuff going on. Cudos.
