Unless they changed that, I say that is a false statement. Early on I erroneously picked a freebie I already owned. Support did sort it out for me though.

Technically I originally had a regular cassette recorder with dolby noise reduction in it, but I cannot remember the brand name. I recorded a few band rehearsals with it.

Entry level but functional. Just dump the onboard sound card.
