Can we give it a few more weeks? I've found a mailing (not email) address and some names possibly connected to him. I'll send a letter to that address and keep working the names. How about March 1st as a deadline? If I haven't succeeded by then we'll go with whatever everyone here decides.
-
I still hope we can find a way to get the money to his family. Could you DM me the city? I'll do some searching too.

Haven't tried their products, but I think so. https://babelson.com/ "After many years as a developer for Waves, Thomas Ceyhan struck out on his own last year, and he has already built up an impressive library of plug‑ins under his Babelson Audio label."

From an email tonight: "With a heavy heart we will discontinue the A-List Guitarists Bundle tomorrow. So get it now at 74% off and enjoy it for a lifetime*." FYI

In case no one's linked it. It has many fewer bells and whistles than Waves Abbey Road Studio 3, but I like the sound more. https://www.112db.com/plugins/redline/monitor/

Thanks for explaining this.

"XTRAX STEMS automatically separates songs into Vocals, Drums, Bass and remaining music stems for sampling, practice, and more!" https://audionamix.com/xtrax-stems/ I don't have use for it at the moment, but glad I had the chance to try it.

https://www.loopsdelacreme.com/one-shots "As long as the lockdown will be imposed here in France, this kit will be available as ‘name your price’: simply enter ‘0’ as a price for a free download, or make a small donation to support the effort. I hope these sounds will help you be creative and productive in these tough times… Thank you and stay safe!!" _____________ "This sample pack features 72 previously unreleased samples in WAV format (24bit, 48kHz). All these premium drum samples were perfectly mixed and mastered: they are ready for use and will help you create cool beats and achieve a powerful, modern sound. All sounds were created by layering and processing unreleased sample material. Various amounts of saturation, compression, EQ, limiting, and reverb were used to create this finest selection of essential samples. "The samples can be used with all software and hardware samplers, and directly imported into any DAW."

Discussion of whether these sound effects can be used royalty-free: https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition/can-i-use-these-sound-effects-for-free/td-p/9145767?page=1 This from the OP's second link makes me uneasy: "Customer may not claim any trademark rights in the Content File or derivative works thereof." (Emphasis added.) Would welcome an IP lawyer's take.

Over my head, but some of you might find it useful . . . ? https://adamstark.co.uk/project/sound-analyser/ "The Sound Analyser is an audio plug-in that allows you to load a number of different audio analyses in parallel. The result of the audio analysis is then sent via OSC so it can be used in other applications. The idea for the plug-in came about through my work with visual artists Davide Quayola & Natan Sinigaglia, when using audio analysis to inform a live visual accompaniment to musical performers. . . . The Sound Analyser can send audio features such as pitch, amplitude, FFT data, spectral centroid and chroma features via OSC over a network. The system was used at two classical concerts in Paris in 2012 and 2013." The videos from the concerts, especially the first, are fascinating.

How does it compare to Redline Monitor? Anyone try both?

I dislike writing negative reviews, but I thought this one was important, so I submitted it to Sweetwater, where I bought the keyboard. Sweetwater has apparently decided not to publish it. I wonder whether there were other negative reviews before mine and Sweetwater chose not to post those either. If so, they might have saved me from a regrettable purchase. _________________________________________ Not a keyboard for players I won't address most of the Komplete Kontrol's features; my only subject here is playability. The keys are heavy, and each key increases significantly in stiffness from front to back. Imagine playing G#m7, root position, right hand, 1-2-3-5. There's virtually no way to play these notes very softly (pianissimo) as a block chord. On the three black keys the fingers sit at or near the front, but on the white key the finger is near the back, so to push it down requires much more pressure. Unless one has amazing control of one's fingers, the four keys won't hit at the same time. To play this keyboard well with speed and delicacy is difficult if not impossible. Other reviewers liken the Komplete Kontrol's feel to that of an acoustic. Their comments helped persuade me to buy it. I've played acoustics for almost fifty years. Any acoustic that feels like this keyboard is in need of major repair. A better comparison is to a $400 Casio Privia I bought and returned several years ago. That Privia felt just the same. The Komplete Kontrol S88 MK2 is a serious device and undoubtedly manufactured with care, but if you're primarily a player rather than a producer, and you're looking for a keyboard that plays like an acoustic, consider the Yamahas priced around $500. I've decided to keep mine because I don't want to be someone who for the second time buys a keyboard and sends it back.

Glad for you, really. Maybe they've worsened since then, because they're no help now. -

I'm wary of buying anything Kirk Hunter because their customer support is—in my current experience—nonexistent. Too bad; this looks like a great deal otherwise.
