Crazy how they re competitiv with their ex partners ... Vsm4 is superior imho , but don t trust me and try it .... vsm 3 is great also but for he type of music i make , drums'depth is crucial and vsm4 handles it like a chief ...

By the to clarify , it s not PA at all , and vsm 3 is another flavor ... the fact that PA does the sale now is not cool for vertigo if you ask me , strange behavior from ex partners ... If i had to keep one , it would be the vertigo , simply because like the vsc 3 (the compressor) it really keeps depth , reminds uad plugin versus native , most of time the low and highs is where the differents is ... What surprised me also is that even when drived the transient while mastered are not killed like a lot of unit around ... Another is the transformer !!! You get tubes and transformers and combinaison can be great ... vsm 3 imho is a good complement to this one , and if vsm 4 is too expensive for a guy , it could be a good start ...personnally on the pa offering , i would go black box forst before vsm 3 , easier and with more features ...

LoFi got my attention , the decimator in saturn is unsigfient for making it to compete with dogs like rc20 and other color boxes ... high hopes i have , but high hopes always leads to dissapointements ... hihihi ...

Brian if you like Neve sound you will be at home , the one that surpassed it was the Neve DFC form UAD , but def the same Gem , it's one of the most balanced CS around , and it has this ability to clean the low mids like crazy , giving that sheen to highs ...its def reminds me old school HiFi stuff lol not that 1084 or 73 mid rangy type of vibe ...if you see what i mean ... reminds me also the 88 , diffciult to explain but try the bx 2098 to get a good vibe it's damn close but magic happenc with the compressor ....

The amek was a beauty , in fact everything Mr Neve was involved in is solid and brilliant ..... it's really a matter of taste ; having 10 consoles makes no sens , just use what brings from A to B the faster /better /funnier .... enougth to make a choice ..... with everything i own , i go back systematicallly when moving fast on ssl 4000 E ... (not the Pa) installing as i type , stay tune after a first contact will go back here

I'm starting to question myself with Presonus HW quality , got an atom , kobs are terrible , keeps movings values after touching them ...got myself a faderport V2 in march , knob makes me random jump of values , positiv or negativ when turned ...issue confirm , repair on the menu ....so i ain't even watch this , wanted to go with the SSL then i said to myself , well faderport with console 1 should do it , ssl lacks a lot of stuff but at least it's built like it's supposed to !! Same , was thinking about atom SQ ... well nope for now .... oh and the faderpot doesn't even works on my laptop , i suspect usb incompatbility because some said it won't work on usb 3 stuff ..... yep 2021 !!
